As of 2021, the largest space rocket built by any space agency is the Saturn V rocket, which was used for the Apollo program by NASA in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The Saturn V was 111 meters (363 feet) tall and was capable of delivering a payload of up to 118,000 kg (260,000 lbs) to orbit.

It was used for 13 launches, including the Apollo 11 mission that successfully landed the first humans on the Moon in 1969. The Saturn V rocket was retired from service in 1973, but it remains the largest and most powerful rocket ever built by any space agency, and it’s still considered as an engineering masterpiece.
